Talk Like A Landlubber Day - Sept 20
YArrrrrr...
Okey dokey lads. September 20 is fast approachin'. So if everyone else is going to talk like us, then Oi suggests we attempt to reciprocate. So in yer best Queens English, Oi suggest yer start attemptin to say sumthin completely plummy and normal.
Is anyone here fluent in Landlubber-ese?

It was a day to behold with the sun disappearing behind the hills on the horizon as I walked down the quaint cobbled street to where my vessel was moored in the quaint harbour.
My fine bodied crew were in good heart, having had a splendid night in a local hostelry where they shared some good ale with a selection of perfectly formed attractive young ladies.
"Hello my fine crew, how are we all on this beautiful day"
"Arrgh Cap'n, what ye on about"
Hmm I thought talking like a landlubber is going to take time to perfect.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
Argghhh...ooopps sorry - not on this thread.

Unruly
Pray, unhand me you brute or I shall take the necessary action to divest myself of your unruly personage. Care for some Nut Yoghurt?
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

Water
Yes indeed Mr Spot...that's about as near to Water as the eponymous Landlubber ought to get!

Good morning gentlemen. I have been trying to get into practice in preparation for tomorrow. I have been trying out a few key phrases wot (er) which I believe are popular with lubbers.
- You shall be hearing from my solicitor my good man.
- If you don't stop using that sort of language I shall be forced to summon a policeman
- Oh no thank you I could not possibly fit in another cucumber sandwich
- Thank you kind sir. It's not often one sees manners like that in the young these days.

I fail to see how this differs from my normal speech patterns.
