For the FSM
(To “Gaudeteâ€)
(Traditional Pastafarian Hymn, by anon.)
G-d is a, G-d is a spaghetti monster
Marinara, Alfredo, O Pesto (x2)
Noodly appendages
He has many of them
Men become entangled but
All the ladies love them
G-d is a, G-d is a spaghetti monster
Marinara, Alfredo, O Pesto (x2)
Pirates make the world go round
Crews are always forming
Join and make a joyous sound
End to global warming
G-d is a, G-d is a spaghetti monster
Marinara, Alfredo, O Pesto (x2)
Heed His lessons in your home,
By the wayside preach them
Rising up and chowing down,
In the classroom teach them
G-d is a, G-d is a spaghetti monster
Marinara, Alfredo, O Pesto (x2)

Re: For the FSM (To "Gaudete")
I got this off the web:
GaudeteGaudete
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria Virgine: Gaudete!
Tempus adest gratiae, Hoc quod optabamus;
Carmina laeticiae Devote redamus.
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria Virgine: Gaudete!
Deus homo factus est, Natura mirante;
Mundus renovatus est, A Christo regnante.
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria Virgine: Gaudete!
Ezechiellis porta Clausa pertransitur;
Unde lux est orta, Salus invenitur.
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria Virgine: Gaudete!
Ergo nostra concito Psallat iam in lustro;
Benedicat Domino: Salus Regi nostro.
Gaudete! gaudete! Christus est natus ex Maria Virgine: Gaudete!
The reason it's worthwhile is that legendary version of it by Steeleye Span.
If anybody really wants, I'll do a translation - but I warn you, it's boring!
Latinists note: laeticiae is normal in the Middle Ages for laetitiae and concito is an obvious mistake for cantio.

BRILLIANT!
We've only got those dodgy Catholic Latin scholars, who translated the original. I reckon you've come across the real ORIGINAL translation.
Well done!

Give us this day our daily taste. Restore to us soups that spoons will not sink in and sauces which are never the same twice. Raise up among us stews with more gravy than we have bread to blot it with Give us pasta with a hundred fillings.

The King's Singers have a great version of this (I've sung it too.) Now it would be great if they would do this version sometime.
