Forming a non-profit
we could form a non-profit that gives away 1,000 copies of the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster every single year.
that would be a good way to spread his word.
that would be a good way to spread his word.

We could...
Or we could make sure we stay at the top of the Kiva religions tree.
Which is actually more effective?
staying a top the kiva religions tree is more effective than the non-profit that gives away 1,000 copies of the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster every single year.
doing both would be the most effective than doing only one.
effective = forming a non-profit that gives away 1,000 copies of the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster every single year.
more effective = staying a top the kiva religions tree.
most effective = staying on top the kiva religions tree and forming a non-profit that gives away 1,000 copies of the gospel of the flying spaghetti monster every single year.
i thought i was supposed to discuss ways to spread the word and bring His noodly appendage to everybody in this thread. what were your ideas for spreading the word and bringing his noodly appendage to everybody. the kiva thing was bobby's idea. what is your idea? I think we should all pitch in not just bobby.

Re: Forming a non-profit
I find myself being reminded of one of the IRRYD's - namely this one:
A non-profit dishing out books could be a good way to spread his Noodly word, but to my mind the money it would take would be better served being spent elsewhere. Kiva does give peeps the opportunity to go the good that is implied in this particular IRRYD.
Don't forget that spreading the word of the FSM doesn't need gospels - it can be demonstrated. Perhaps start small - wearing a pirate hat or a colander for example.

maybe give out 5 copies per year instead? I thought 1,000 was small.

At least one of the admins on here is perpetually bereft of funds.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Which one? Does he/she live in the United States? I could perhaps send him or her a blessing or two.

Thanks for the sentiment, but I have to find my own way out of this particular declivity. Things may be changing.

We do need a "like" button. That is a classic RevWW.

i think that would work well. does anybody else have any good ideas? or bad ideas? they are both valuable. even a bad idea can inspire a good idea.

I started by adding one of those advertising badges in my signature on another forum. I am pretty active there so it will get seen, I don't know how many people will click it, but it's a start. I will see what else I can do as I learn more about the fsm myself. ;)
