Try some moisturiser.

DA's Mostly Harmless.

I can finally finish the Hitchhiker's series! Hooray, I think.

I borrowed The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul from the library a while back, and I want to read it, except I haven't read the first one. What I'm getting to is: Will I spoil the series somehow by reading the second book first?
A flap of the wings yesterday means big changes tomorrow.
Let's work together to keep the present inevitable.

So yeah, I went and got a blog.

Okay, I'm thinking, I've *got* to be the only sick puppy that took that a certain way.

And then, I thought about the demographics of this board...

Never mind, carry on...
Empusa's crew, so naked-new they may not face the fire,
But weep that they bin too small to sin to the height of their desire,

Since when did Douglas Adams ever do anything in a linear fashion? Anyway, he smoked way too much weed to actually incorporate a plot into any of his books. Read away...

The Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Just bought it a few weeks ago. Brilliant stuff.
Kaylee: Wash, tell me I'm pretty.
Wash: If I were unwed, I would take you up in a manly fashion.
Kaylee: 'Cause I'm pretty?
Wash: 'Cause your pretty.
(Wash and Kaylee, Firefly, Heart of Gold)

It's a broken hearts parade
And I'm putting my heart out on display
There's no masquerade
Just a funeral march for love today
The band strikes up and they're playing a song
Dressed in black, and we're singing along to the
Broken hearts parade
I've never been better then I am today

I'm now in the middle of The Ancestor's Tale, by Richard Dawkins, but stopped around concester 14 or so. I'm now reading "The Little Book of Bull Moves in Bear Markets" by Peter Schiff. This book has a lot more short-term relevance to me over Dawkins' work. :)
“We are often hesitant to look at other faiths or to examine our own critically because we feel that, in doing so, we are being disloyal to our own deeply felt convictions. ... And yet our beliefs are not worth very much if they cannot stand up to any scrutiny.” -- James Livingston.

"Dreamcatcher" by Stephan King.... its pretty creepy, but its more just plain nasty... i prefer his other stuff, such as "Insomnia" or "Quicho"
Embrace the noodles of all cultures, and listen to Bob Marley... He's good, and his hair is like noodles

Nothing right now, but recently consumed The Dark River by John Twelve Hawks, and several old volumes of Civil War historical vignettes.

Actually, I am reading a locally published book on the history of my town back 200+/- years ago, but it's not particularly gripping.

("Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.")
-- Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805)
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

What happens when all the renewable energy runs out?

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Hehe....I just worked my way through DT: The Gunslinger and DT: The Drawing of the Three, as well as The Eyes of The Dragon, all Stephen King, and am now about to start Ender's Game, by Orson Scott Card.

The thin line between genius and insanity is less of a border than a union.

--Pope John Paul II

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
