I'm two hours out but i have a friend in Enmore who alerted me to FSM so he'd be down for it. So thats four.
Religious war at its very simplest is killing each other over who has the best imaginary friend.

BTW, just wanted to make sure you're all aware of our current opportunity for evening worship:

Ahhh brisvegas, the town that never wakes up. If i hear of any birsbane-ians ye'll be the first i'll give a yell.
Actually i'm a bit disappointed at the lack of FSM saturation on the aus religious scene, as opposed to the monumental amount of States and Canada Folks that have tuned in. I reckons we might have to be a tad more active in recruiting members, driving around the country in a minivan with pastafarian slogans and pictures airbrushed on the side, giving street sid sermons on the glory of Pasta. Be a good excuse for me not to go to work.

Aus religious scene? What aus religious scene? Hillsong, Family First and One Nation, Islamic organisations trying to assure everyone that the Koran doesn't advocate suicide bombing (it doesn't), Catholics trying to assure everyone that priests don't assault children (some do), and everyone banning gay marriage. The Hari's don't even own Govinda's any more, and pop stars reinvent themselves as "Celebrity Witches" to sell books.
Can I assume you're disappointed, but not surprised?

Thank FSM I 've been saved from my meaningless lapsed fundamentalist protestant, lapsed pentacostal, lapsed pagan, lapsed hindu, lapsed agnostic middle class existence. Brother, we now have a delicious new purpose. And we'll both be able to get out of work.

Ahhh so true. What is it with Aussies and changing religious prefrences. I've been through like 10 and so has just about everyone i know.
Also does one nation actually count as part of the "religious scene"? Anyone worshipping Pauline Pants-Down really needs to re-establish their value system.
I'm always disappointed. When it comes to the mix of Aus religion and politics, its hard enough to not cry when watching the news.
I'm still holding out for the kombi van across the nation tour. Seems like everyone else has made the trek at some point, its not fair for FSM to be left out.

Ooops. You're right. I actually meant Call to Australia, Fred Nile's mob. Got my political supervillains mixed up.

its hard enough to not cry when watching the news.
I find that screaming obsenities at the television helps slightly. This used to be a bit awkward when I lived in a share house.

You get the kombi, I'll split petrol costs with you.

Guys,
Don't forget to watch Catalyst on the ABC tonight, about Intelligent Design. Now you'll know why we're here.
Here's something Aussie for the Kombi trip. A photo of the FSM banner on every Big monument eg The Big Banana, The Big Pineapple, The Big Mosquito etc. How Aussie is that!
PS No reply from John Saffran. Time for another email!

Gather Smather
Heh... I'm not particularly sure I want to gather, that's too much like an organised religion to me, but I know I want to hand out some leaflets to some folks who have been jabbing their own religious literature in my generic direction for some time... or mischieviously stand on a street coner and hand them out... perhaps saying "FREE PASTAfarian" as I hand them out, so quickly that all they absorb is the word free and pasta. I dunno, it amuses me.
I'm South Australian...

Yeah i was kinda up for a bit of dinner an booze, or if the majority are too young for the later: lunch and coffee. I have a tad too much fair time on my hands.
