Last Post before returning to my latest bizarre research project (material science in UFOlogy)... why do I do stuff for this guy? Oh, that's why. (At least the rum hasn't run out... well, we're down to vodka now.) Get out the notepad again!

Last Post wondering why people spend thousands of dollars a year on university courses, only to fail them, then come back and do it all again the year after. It doesn't make sense.

I think there is a certain factor of continued subsidized teenage rebellion at work, and contempt between the student and the parents/society. People who pay tuition that they worked for themselves tend not to fail classes. Last post.

Last I was going to post something about kids and parents paying for higher education but I decided I shouldn't post.

Re: The Last Post Thread, 2.0
It is sort of a ridiculous situation. So many of these kids treat College like High School 2.0, and don't even seem to think about why they're here.
The good news is that their presence doesn't seem to detract too much from the education of persons such as myself, who take the education thing very seriously and don't ever skip class because gorramit, someone is paying for these classes. I suppose the worst effect they have is increasing the student:teacher ratio, but it's not that hard to get more attention from a teacher if you so desire.
