None of the places I've been to in this world (that I can remember, anyhow) have referred to a case of beer that way. When I was young, it was always just a case of beer. Nowadays, it's impossible to find a cardboard box with 24 bottles of beer for sale anywhere around here. 12-packs and 6-packs are the norm. FSM forbid I should ever have to stoop so low as to drink beer that comes in a can.

It certainly is true, at least here in Australia. We just call them "cartons" of beer.

Australia?!!?! Gadzooks, no wonder you're so intelligent. You're descended from convicts transported there by sea -- in other words, pirates!!

Last post of awe and amazement. Also last post before I hit the sack.

Why not let people differ about their answers to the great mysteries of the Universe? Let each seek one's own way to the highest, to one's own sense of supreme loyalty in life, one's ideal of life. Let each philosophy, each world-view bring forth its truth and beauty to a larger perspective, that people may grow in vision, stature and dedication.

Cartons, twenty-four packs... wow. But you're right, ET, it's not common to find bottled two-fours. The good beer comes in packs of six (not that I'd know, being underage and all).

Anyway, Last Post!
