Condolences ADos. That is a great song.

Great big granny-hug, ADoS.

Grief is unpredictable. There are some songs that can still reduce me to tears, many years after they were first associated with a friend's or family member's death. A Walk in the Black Forest (Grandad), He Ain't Heavy (He's My Brother) (Philip), Angels (Jeanette)… I could go on.

R.I.P. all, and save me a spot by the beer volcano.

It's Mahler's Symphony 5 Adagietto wot does it for me...even if no one's died.

My chorus started working on Mahler's Symphony #2 on Monday. I really haven't listened to any of #5, though.

And fortunately, we are doing it in German, so I can ignore what the words mean.

The kids love 'The Sarah Jane Adventures'...I just sit there to give them some company whilst they're watching...cos it can be a bit scary sometimes. :guilty:

"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

100 is not old these days...some guy was still running marathons aged 100.

I might make a come back in a few years time.

I think you need to be very fit to start with if you expect to be very fit in your nineties and beyond. Those of us with 'Friday afternoon bodies' aren't going to last that long.

I wouldn't trust HuffPo, but the BBC has announced it too.

Bring the troops home; no sense in prolonging the 'war on terror' now, is there?
