Have you noticed your post count hasn't gone up? That's because this thread doesn't contribute to your post count. So until you start to post ELSEWHERE, the system won't register you as being anything but a first time poster, and I will have to keep approving your posts. If a member doesn't post here first, *NO* other posts elsewhere will be approved.

Once a member has posted here, *subsequent* posts should appear properly elsewhere in the board.

It's not retroactive, and subsequent posts are subject to the board rules to stay up. Hope that clarifies.

All the preference changes I have ever found are on the various tabs of the User Control Panel. Post yourself an avatar while you're there, too.
