Born into a pastafarian family? You must be a very advanced three year old!

So yeah, I went and got a blog.

Where is a good/easy place to start posting out of curiosity?

Welcome Falenes and FireinCairo. There are serious threads and silly threads here, scan around the board index (linked at the bottom and top of every page) and choose a topic you like.
"Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens."
("Against stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.")
-- Friedrich Schiller (1759–1805)
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
-- Philip K Dick

What happens when all the renewable energy runs out?
-- Victoria Ayling

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Well, an easy place would be in Rant, Rave and Misbehave, for nobody takes anything seriously there. In fact, the World of Other Stuff section in general is quite good for easy posting. So, in fact, is the Pirate Discussion, although it takes a little while to learn the lingo and backstory of the place.

It's where you start going into the serious fora where it gets difficult. There's a lot of intelligent people there, and most of them will call on you for even the most minor semantic detail in a post. But we're a good bunch anyway, so enjoy!

First post. Well actually, i've made a few posts before this one, didn't know I was supposed to come here first. I feel like such a nub.
"How is it that hardly any major religion has looked at science and concluded, 'This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our prophets said, grander, more subtle, more elegant. God must be even greater than we dreamed'? Instead they say, 'No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.'" - Carl Sagan

"To doubt everything or to believe everything are two equally convenient solutions; both dispense with the necessity of reflection." - Henri Poincaré

Aww, you'll do fine. In the meantime, I wish to make the official welcome dance!

Hi,

About me...I'm 17, I live in England, and I'm an FSM convert. My family consists mostly of atheists, but I'm the first pastafarian. I used to follow the Invisible Pink Unicorn, but I lost faith in Her. It happened when I was eating pasta - penne, if you're interested - and I saw the Spaghetti Monster's face staring at me from behind the meatballs. He motioned for me to follow Him and his holy way, so here I am.

Hello... my name is Malik and I really like this idea. I'm not an atheist, I'm a Muslim, but I accepted the evidence of evolution, until I realized that FSM must have created the world (in collaboration with Allah, of course).

So... arghh!

Some of you might know me as Cabbage's boyfriend.

Welcome, Malik!! Anyone Cabbage likes enough to call her boyfriend is OK with me. It's always gratifying to see someone who follows a more traditional religion assimilate the FSM and the philosophy of the CoFSM into their belief system. I look forward to seeing you in the forums.

Haha, yes. I do like having two religions. The cool thing about Islam is, the Koran never says anything about not drinking alcohol. It only says that you shouldn't get hammered. Of course, the definition of hammered varies from person to person. Personally, I believe that I am hammered when I can't bend over without falling. Other than that, Allah is pretty happy with me, and FSM will be too, when I get slightly inebriated with rum, but not in quantities large enough to fall over when bending over, so that I may not displease Allah... oh god, this stuff's difficult.
