Granted. Too bad your refigerator is broken so that instead of keeping things cool, it heats them to intolerably high temperatures.

I wish the weather around here was not quite so damn cold.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Granted. It's average temperature and instead of snow and ice, you get sludge. (like me. Gotta love the Mediterranean)

Granted, but you're not trained very well and you keep lopping off bit and pieces of yourself attempting to strike a noble, (dare i say, Nietzschean?) pose..

i wish my lifting quickness didn't evaporate with age..

Granted. You had a Taylor 855ce. It's gone now.

I wish that I was having pizza for dinner tonight.
The above post made a lot more sense in my head.

Granted. It's one of those silly ethnic pizzas that you buy out of white guilt. You subsequently die of food poisoning.

I wish I could be open about my antisemitism without repercussions.

Granted. Complete social ostracism is no longer considered a repercussion.

I wish I had twice as much firewood stacked in the basement.

Granted. Unfortunately, angry libertarians come over and offer you $20. 000 for it. You consequently sell the firewood, and freeze to death, but hey, at leas you died a rich man.

FIE!!!! Sacrelige!!!

MM's wish was that he could learn to occasionally put a sock in it. It was granted by WoE, who gave him some time to practise.

I wish I could fool around with your Gibson.

I wish that I were every bit as innocent as my grandma thinks I am...

Granted. Your Grandma is nowhere near as innocent as you think she is.

I wish I could get motivated to work on something.

Granted. You get motivated to work on a deck on the side of your house, right now. You conveniently forget the season, and wear no jacket, hat, or gloves. Your ears and fingers are frostbitten now; good luck working on anything!

I wish that ET would write my essay for me! I've been "working" for a half hour, and I've gotten the title written down, so far.

Granted (with some slight borrowing from ERPBG thread):

"Violence in Wuthering Heights"

As the heights wuther, Elvalia
*attacks Zankou's arse with rake*
*aims a well-placed katana strike at MM's neck*
*Kicks Taidje Khan in the nadgers shouting "Stick that in your Cabals!"*
*Uses awesome kung-fu on everyone*
*frees a legion of flesh-eating squirrels to do [her] bidding.*
*lifts fueledbycoffee to his feet, takes one look at him covered in spaggetti-Os, ravioli, and tomato sauce, and runs away, far away, screaming "OH, THE HORROR!"

P.S. I did the deck last summer.

I wish I didn't need glasses.

I wish that I had written something useful on my essay since the last time I wished.

Granted. No one has any sympathy for you, regardless of whether you're limping or not.
