I apologize...I didn't mean it that way I thought it was funny but...why is everyone being so touchy these days?

No worries, bb...I have just found out that some of those I thought were friends here actually have been considering my attempted fraternal jocularity to be unfriendly, malicious, unwelcome, and hateful.
I suppose I can chalk it up to a failure of my words to convey emotion correctly.
Instead, they have been viewed as nasty and aggressive, or snotty, etc.

Shocking to learn that I typed things while grinning, picturing the reader laughing too, and then I come to find out that they were fuming, thinking it an attack, and myself an unwelcome piece of crap the whole time.

Got that twice today.
Then this further evidence of my personality's misperception.

If that is how I appear to others while I am trying to be whimsical, humorous, or facetious, then words have failed me, and I should probably best simply give them up.

Thanks for that, rna...

I am about out of anything funny to say, though.

Maybe I just need a break from people.

Yeah, since when have we ever been considered people?

Actually I think he's a ****!

 No way, Ken's incredibly entertaining and as I've said before writes much funnier stuff than appears on many a prime time TV sitcom...he'll go back to sanding his bus, muttering to himself and rubbing so hard that the sand paper will wear out...and at that moment he'll remember why he needs the shiny bus...he'll be back.

did you know (remember) that ken mentioned the possibility of pictures of the incredible expanding bus transformation in progress?

ken?

fantasies about this vehicle have taken on tardis proportions

for instance, I believe that their is a gourmet kitchen in there that produces ken's gastronomical delights

also there is a thaumaturgic couch that holds the secrets of the universe along with loose change and stale, but still magically delicious, popcorn bits

Actually I don't think it's safe to say that nobody hates him...the guy supplying his sandpaper must be getting pretty sick of the sight of Ken. :D

Well, thanks alot, you assholes, for making me feel like an "Evita-brooding" drama queen.
*reddens under scrutiny*

I very nearly deleted my account yesterday in a fit of disgust with people,
deciding only at the last second to simply take down my signs, and take a break of as-yet-indeterminate length.

I have decided that those who mischaracterize me/my intentions here-(none of you who have posted here are among them)-
are simply too wrapped in their own issues to really see me as an actual human being, but merely
decide to believe whatever 'story' best feeds their own ego. This should not, at this stage of my life, still be such a bitter surprise/shock/revelation to me.
It is really the default setting for 'other people' and should be anticipated, and shrugged off with resigned
acceptance.
When others do this, they are really only telling me that they are not yet secure enough/self-supporting enough to be real friends anyway, so where is the loss?

Still, the thought of pushing the 'self-destruct' button on my account here caused an interesting series of thoughts to run through my head, all in the space of a split second.
One of them was relief.
Seems some part of my mind knows that I "waste" a lot of time here, and often use the forum, as I would television, as a distraction from things I really ought better to be doing.

Like finishing the ever-expanding and perpetual-work-in-progress bus.
Building my business up a bit, perhaps hiring an apprentice/helper.
Finding a GF.(Note to self:should move that up on list)
Finding other musicians in the area to jam/play cover tunes with.
Looking for a piece of property to buy/begin building on.

These are all REAL things I SHOULD do, but are scary and daunting in scope.
So much easier to let days go by cracking jokes and pointlessly arguing about fat people and dogs.

Fuck it.

I am taking a self-imposed hiatus until I get something acomplished in RL.
It is a healthy move.

I was hesitant to waste bandwidth with all this, and even as I prepare to hit the "submit" button, my hyper-self-critical voice is telling me that I am
posting a load of self-indulgent and narcissistic rubbish, and it probably is...
However, surprisingly enough, some of you seem to actually give a crap whether I exist here or not, so I guess I can excuse this long-winded explanation of my caprice as an explanation that I owe.

Anyhow, bye, for awhile, if and when I return I'll surely have more disgust-with-humanity-turned-absurdist-humor to post.
