The Closest Number Guessing Game Post Thread
Whoever guesses the number closest to the one I am thinking of wins!
The number can be arabic, roman, imaginary, algebraic, negative, or any other kind, I won't narrow it down.
It can be anywhere between -infinity and infinity, and could be a decimal, a fraction, or any other kind of partial or mixed numerical valuation.
The game will last either for 1 year, at which time, whoever guesses closest will be announced as winner, or until someone guesses the number exactly, constituting an immediate victory.....
Good luck.

now THERE's an understatement.
Some 5 or 6 or 7 billion years from now, the Sun will become a red giant star and will engulf the orbits of Mercury and Venus and probably the Earth. The Earth then would be inside the Sun, and some of the problems that face us on this particular day will appear, by comparison, modest. On the other hand, since it is 5,000 or more million years away, it is not our most pressing problem. It is, though, worth bearing in mind. It has theological implications. - Carl Sagan, Master of Understatement
