The poster says 16, but I'll write that off as a typo.
Edit: this could well be plagiarism - Abbot & Costello do almost exactly the same sketch here.

Wow, WWII must've really sucked...Apparently, even humor was rationed.
I looked on youtube, but failed to find an "All in the Family" bit I was looking for, in which Archie starts out with something like 40 dollars, and after a very fast round of repayments and exchanges, he is left holding two dollars or some such...

Wow, talk about plagarism, that was exactly the same bit just with different numbers.
Funny logic, but I gotta agree with Ken, poor comedy.

Thai is correct.
Texas Instruments TI 56:
(25/5)x(14/14)=25/5
it is correct.
so 14 is the solution

3 men go to a motel to rent a room......get told that'll be 30 dollars. Each man pays $10 each. They go to the room....the bell boy comes and tell them there was a mistake....the room is only $25 and give the men 5 $1 bills. The men decide to tip the boy $2, so each man gets $1...which means they only spent $9.
$9 * 3men + $2 tip = $29...............where is the mistery dollar???

I hate this one, and it took me a while to figure it out (again)
You cant do 9*3 and then add 2, because the 2 is already part of the 9.
$9 * 3 -$2 tip equals $25.
or
each man really paid $8.3333 for the room and $.6666 for tip.
8.3333*3 = 25
.6666*3 = 2
they still have 3
= 30

Look at it from a Bart Simpson perspective: Friday the 13th seems pretty tame by today's standards (replace Friday the 13th with Lenny Bruce)
Not sure if Ken actually meant that though. Maybe he meant that comedy gets rationed via used jokes cos you can't afford to make more. We'll never know until he posts a message telling us. What do you think KW?
Frankly, even though I found the first one I posted funny, I liked the Abbot & Costello one better, even though I'd seen the other one first so already knew the joke. I guess it's all in the delivery. Plus the end bit where he hangs his hat on a chalk line looked cool.

Oh, I meant it was so unfunny (in both cases) that it almost seemed as though they were told they could only use a rationed or restricted portion of humor.
I do agree that if forced to choose, A&C was better than pa kettle.
I guess audiences were less sophisticated and sharp back then, or at least filmmakers assumed they were, 'cause most comedy tv shows and movies from that era seem fairly plodding and simplistic to me.
Give me Blackadder or Alan Partridge any day of the week, instead.

So would you please welcome my new resident house band, The Eagles!!!.....or, rather, don't! Don't welcome the Eagles, because Glenn has put a stop to that.
This week, he obtained a court injunction preventing his dismissal, prior to an industrial tribunal, to be held at the end of the series...
So will you now please welcome, not double-platinum-selling rock stars The Eagles, but Ipswich based hotel lobby wine bar band, Glenn Ponder and Lazarus...."

Infanta
Comedy heaven...The Spanish Infanta episode of series one Black Adder.
The smoke wafted gently in the breeze across the poop deck and all seemed right in the world.

I liked Blackadder better when he was the smart, conniving incarnation, rather than the bumbling Mr Bean style guy in the first series.
I also hated Mr Bean. I found it more depressing than funny.

Here here. Second season was way better. Though the king from the first always did crack me up. The episode with the crazy protestant relatives who only eat radishes was the best.

Infanta
I liked the Infanta episode because it had the superb Jim Broadbent in it.
There was a great scene where Black Adder tried to get out of marrying the Infanta (played by Miriam Margoyles) by dressing up and posing as the extremely Gay Earl of Northumberland. Unfortunately the Infanta's reaction was: "How marvelous you have dressed as a Spanish Man to please me!"
