You simply copy the photo's link from it's properties menu and paste it here then select the link and choose Img from the menu above in the message pane.

Ahhh...The problem is, sadly, it is verboten to link to an image directly on your machine...It has to be an image on a publicly accessible server....

So, any image you turn up on, say, a google image search can be linked in the [img] tags, and will work....Right click on any image on the web, and select "properties"....It will have the address of the image(url)...copy-paste that url into your post....

It must begin with a "http://name and location of photograph with no spaces.jpg" (or dot-gif, or dot-png, etc.)


If you have an image on your machine which you wish to upload into your post, you must first upload it onto an image-hosting site.(I use www.imageshack.us ....some use photobucket, I've never tried them)

click "browse", select the image from your machine, click "host it", and after a few seconds, a page will load up containing a multitude of links.

The last one will be "direct link to image"...THAT is the pic's url on the www now...and can be copy-pasted, and placed inside the BbCode [img] tags here...simple, free, and you don't even need to register at imageshack, IIRC.


Just remember, especially in the case of pics you took yourself with a digital cam.....Open your image in paint, or whatever photo-editing program you use, and employ the stretch/skew feature to shrink the photo down to less than about 600 pixels wide...this will prevent your posted image from horizontally scrolling the margins of the page here, making users have to scroll back and forth to read each line of the other 14 posts on the page of the thread, subsequently making everyone wish to slowly peel your skin off, and eat it right in front of you, not because we like the taste of it, but just as an added horrific aspect to the penalty for the transgression.
