I'm with Ken. That triangle is starting to piss me off. I've stared at it for so long that it feels like its mocking me.

Can I just pimpslap it so hard that it becomes a perfect square?

Umm... how about if you remove the hypotenuse & the opposite and so you're left with one line which is a perfect square lying on its side (a perfect square with one line--get it?)?

hmm so it seems to be very easy but nobody gets it... How about if you remove the hypotenuse and there's already a square at point C?

Well, I can turn the whole image into a perfect square, using a line to cut off the top of the actual (white) rectangle... mmmm not it?

If you use a line to cut from the midpoint of a across to h, perpendicular to a, and rotate the upper section 180° around the intersection point at h, so that vertices A and B coincide...

Assuming side a = 2b, would that make a square?

Or do things like rotation not qualify?

Well, the same technique could be used to turn a circle into a perfect square with one line.

draw a line from the point C downward.......it'll turn the triangle into the number 4..............which is 2 squared........a perfect square......
