I only know super-hard ones of extra-terrestrial origin which are so difficult that they would make you cry if you so much as looked at them, and commit suicide should you be foolish enough to actually attempt to solve them...

in 2003, Bob was walking in a park. On the sidewalk he found what looked like an old coin. He stopped, picked it up, and look at it. The writing on it was in a language he couldn't read, but he could make out the date, 345 B.C.

assuming it is now 2007, how old is the coin Bob found?

I would say of fairly recent origin, and surely fake.

If a coin was minted in what we call "B.C.", it wouldn't say "B.C."

(Unless minted by a culture which could tell the future, and that we would call a certain set of dates "B.C.")

Damn, I only thought about that one for a second, then I got sidetracked, but I should've gotten that right off.

Encyclopedia brown proved that a generals sword or something wasn't authentic because the inscription read "World War I". They didn't call it WWI until there had been a WWII

I"m off to flagellate myself with wet noodles as a penance for my ignorance!

No, encyclopedia Brown did it with a sword from the civil war, supposedly presented to Stonewall Jackson after the first battle of bull run. The inscription said the first battle of bull run, but if it was presented just after the first battle they wouldn't have called it the "first." The other piece was because the south called it the battle of Manassas.

I win remembering children's books.

Encyclopedia Brown? Sounds like a know-it-all little nerd.

I used to read THe Hardy Boys, but I didn't like their snot-nosed, sweater-vest, prep school atitude.

I preferred the much-more-relatable "Three Investigators."

They spent most of their time solving crimes out of a headquarters that consisted of a junked-out mobile home, which was buried completely by a giant mound of construction debris and dismantled car parts.

It doesn't get any more white-trash than that.

A bus driver was heading down a street in Colorado. He went right past a stop sign without stopping, he turned left where there was a "no left turn" sign, and he went the wrong way on a one-way street. Then he went on the left side of the road past a cop car. Still - he didn't break any traffic laws. Why not?
