Re: Life is too short for . . .
pieces o'nine: What does Brother Roland's post say?
Brother Maynard: It reads, 'Here may be found the last words of Roland Deschain. Life is too sho-Arrrrrrrrgggghhh...'
DavidH: What?
Brother Maynard: 'Life is too sho-Arrrrrrrrgggghhh...'
Roy Hunter: What is that?
Brother Maynard: He must have died while carving it.
pieces o'nine: Oh come on!
Brother Maynard: Well, that's what it says.
pieces o'nine: Look, if he was dying, he wouldn't have bothered to carve 'Arrrrrrrrgggghhh'. He'd just say it.
DavidH: Maybe he was dictating it.
Roy Hunter: Let's put my Samoan attorney on the case.
daftbeaker: Well does it say anything else?
Brother Maynard: No, just 'Life is too sho-Arrrrrrrrgggghhh'.

According to QI that's a bit of a myth...Napoleon was pretty tall for a Frenchman for example...Mr Littler (also known as Herr Littler), my ex boss at M&S was quite tall.
