The God Delusion - Dawkins

The Gospel Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster - Bobby Henderson (sauce be upon Him)

The Impossibility of God - eds Martin and Monnier

Why I am Not a Christian - Bertrand Russell

The Stuff Of Thought - Pinker
Some 5 or 6 or 7 billion years from now, the Sun will become a red giant star and will engulf the orbits of Mercury and Venus and probably the Earth. The Earth then would be inside the Sun, and some of the problems that face us on this particular day will appear, by comparison, modest. On the other hand, since it is 5,000 or more million years away, it is not our most pressing problem. It is, though, worth bearing in mind. It has theological implications. - Carl Sagan, Master of Understatement

Started reading my backlog of Smithsonians.
A samurai once asked Zen Master Hakuin where he would go after he died.
Hakuin answered, "How am I supposed to know?"
"How do you know? You're a Zen master?" exclaimed the samurai.
"Yes, but not a dead one," Hakuin answered.

Proven Guilty: Book Eight of the Dresden Files.
I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

You are in for a treat.

I've read four Flashman novels in a row so I thought I ought to have a break...I'm reading 'His Dark Materials' again.

The Pagan Christ - by Tom Harper (I think Tom Harper).

It's a great book. While reading, about half way through, I see that there is a special, a documentary or such on tv about this same book. So I taped it and watched it. It was damn good to see it objectively reported on. Showed both sides pretty evenly (though I am biased, so this may be inaccurate).

Anyway, good read and good program..

It was someone on this site that recommended the book, so thanks to that person.

Angus....
