Looking for book, Containing Pseudepigrapha, Apocrypha...

Postby SomethingClever » Sun Aug 15, 2010 3:45 pm

Particularly one containing, The Book of Enoch, and The Books of Adam and Eve. And one that is not watered down with a bunch of feel good commentary or bias translations.

There are a lot of book stores on line and I get a lot of results for my searches, but I cant find a hardback that looks right for me or has a review that is to my liking.

Anyone have a suggestion?

They are all available online, here: http://www.sacred-texts.com/

There's tons more stuff there, too. I've read Enoch there, and several other apocryphal books, and I've been working on the Qu'ran as well. It's not a hardback book, but it's free!

You might also find "The Gospel of Thomas" interesting. Thomas was, according to some historians, probably Jesus' twin brother. The book is quite gnostic, almost taoist.
