So, im listening to the High Kings (irish band). Like a lot of their songs. Singing along with Black Velvet Band for the millionth time....catch something. "Bad 'cess" ....thought it was "success". Looked up the lyrics on their page, and they are as follows:
"And slipped it right in to my hand
And the very first thing that I said was
Bad 'cess to the black velvet band "
so the question is....What does it mean? Bad 'suc'cess? Bad cess'pool'?
your thoughts are welcomed

Re: Black Velvet Band
off the top of my (admittedly fat) head.."cess" is somewhat similar to luck..& the Irish for high king is Ard Ri, i think (plural is ???)..[i come from a bunch of bogtrotting Maritime Canadians on my mother's side, so accuracy is not guaranteed...but, like the rest of my family---i mean well
