Homemade Linguini ala Puttanesca (rough trans. "Pasta with whore sauce")

That is the most revolting thing I have seen since I saw George Osborne smiling.

Easily topped, friend.

I am eating an Australian shiraz. With a fork. A substantial wine.

They had Marmite peanuts, would that have been better? :antipasta: For the record, I'm not keen on Marmite peanuts, it doesn't taste nice to me. My next experiment will be Bovril bacon :idiot:

He's Scottish, you're going to have to try a lot harder than that. Like tasty peanuts apparently :haha:

Currently eating a sample of my homemade Banana Sorbet (version 1), and a homemade clone (version 4) of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia Ice Cream. Both recipes still need some tweaking.

For those with Google+ access, here's a sample of one of my recent culinary articles: Blueberry Sorbet.

Preliminary version of Banana Sorbet (no recipe posted yet)

Curried rice with chickpeas, and a slab of artificial chicken. Two different kinds of hot sauce, neither one very extreme.

English isn't much of a language for swearing. When I studied Ancient Greek I was delighted to discover a single word - Rhaphanidosthai - which translates roughly as "Be thou thrust up the fundament with a radish for adultery."

Sorghum congee with chicken glace and mushroom duxelles ... a little afro-chinese-french fusion.

It's easier than it sounds ... just grind whole sorgum to powder in spice mill, add 3 parts water and a small spoon of chicken concentrate, whisk 5 mins until thickened (like soft polenta), then add a spoon of mushroom confit and a small splash of cream.

My wife asked for pasta, so I'm being doubly devout this week ... Fettuccini with Sausage Marinara & romano.

Pizza. Glorious, re-heated, pizza... Sausage and Pepperoni from a local pizza joint. :zen: So good!
The circumstances of the world are continually changing, and the opinions of men change also; and as government is for the living, and not for the dead, it is the living only that has any right in it. That which may be thought right and found convenient in one age, may be thought wrong and found inconvenient in another. In such cases, who is to decide, the living, or the dead? -Thomas Paine
