Papa Johns used to put them in their boxes years ago but stopped. They were the reason I bought from Papa Johns as opposed to the 4 other pizza places closer to me - when they stopped doing the chillies, I stopped getting pizza there.

Now got some in a jar of them

I recommend the Mezzetta brand of pepperoncinis. I go through a jar in about two weeks, mostly because I eat so many more pickled jalapenos than I do pepperoncinis. Mezzetta's are the best for texture, size and flavor IMO.

As to what I'm eating, generally it's lots of salad. Mrs. T has us on the "South Beach" diet, about three weeks now. I've dropped something over ten pounds, now registering around 218 or so. Not bad, considering I cheat like crazy while at work. Ten more pounds to go, hopefully by the end of June.

It probably involved Branston Pickle at some point. Every time I do a pasta sauce or stew that degenerates into 'lob a bit of everything into the pan' mode and Branston is involved, it tastes good.

Had my first go at making gumbo today. Did it properly - made a chocolate roux and everything

Used chorizo instead of andouille sausage (as that's not really available in the UK), and put some tender cactus in that I'd bought on a whim, rather than okra.

Turned out bloody marvellous.

Only down side is that I made so much I'm going to be eating it for at least a week (not a massive down side, I'll grant you)
