TBovine's would work rather well as rosaries, if nothing else. More elaborate designs would be for more elegant and ceremonial purposes (like Fridays), so don't discount them so quickly!

How funny. I just (almost) made a plate against a world map background, with a pirate knife on the left side of the plate, and a FSM fork on the other.

Problem is I didn't finish.. because again, I don't have a composite graphics program installed right now and ran in to irreconcilable dificulty trying to do it in a screen capture program.

In a scene with the FSM, replace the sun with a plate with a fork on it. sunbeams radiate the plate and fork glory.

Personally I see no reason for the fork to be cross-based. I mean, why would it be? No one crucified the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

I don't understand why there are so many 3-tined fork images here. Maybe I'm just a little paranoid, but don't these seem incredibly similar to a carpenter cross symbol? And, does anyone out there actually eat with a 3-tined fork?

I didn't even notice that all the 3tined fork images were done by the same person until you brought it to my attention. And, I'm a little confused by the idea that only 'art' contributions further the discussion of what is or is not a symbol befitting the FSM. Now, I'm the thought police???

It was mostly 3-pronged so that the single stem down the center could just continue up. I do realize, however, that it makes it look too much like a pitchfork. So in my infinite wisdom, I have created a few modifications to earlier designs, a bit forkier, a bit spicier, a bit more noodly, for those so interested. Here are 2 different takes on the most popular ones



I'd have to say that 6 or 5 is my favorite. Although 6 is plainly a fork, 5 has interesting implications. It can be interpreted as a fork (though three-pronged, and thus more like a pitchfork than an eating fork), as a sword drawing a circle, or as a sword with a halo. I could also "double" this circle, to make it a 5-pronged fork, but then it tends to look more like a rake.

Suggestions are welcome, of course.

Actually, i know a guy/hobo who makes jewellry out of forks. He has a mad collection of braceletts made from forks.

Consider as an option.

I also like how tbones ideas would almost ceartaintly lead to tetnis in the mouth from using them. Great idea! Very piratey.

defintly number six.
for five, sword drawing circle is good, but you have to be told to understand it, halo is christian, and neither bobby nor the great FSM has a halo. although we might use a tricorne pirate hat as a halo subsitition. (someone make an picutre of the FSM wearing a pirate hat). six is good, simple, fourpronged, piraty, and just looks cool.
