Holiday Tunes

Postby clh_hilary » Sun Jul 08, 2012 4:00 am

I wonder if the following Pop songs about our Holy Holiday - Friday, are acceptable to be sung in our Church?
Rebecca Black - "Friday"

Notice how the tune becomes a cultural phenomenon like our Church.
Katy Perry - "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"

Notice how it involves also a lot of beers.
Rihanna - "Cheers (Drink To That)"

Even though it did not mention the word 'Friday', the hymn was so obviously pointing to our Holy Holiday. Also please notice how it relates to drinking.
Lady Antebellum - "Friday Night"

And there's even a Country hymn! We're penetrating even into the hearts of the Bible belt in America! :facewall:

Don't make me sad, don't make me cry.
