Super Cool FSM Wikipedia Page
This is a link to a page where you find the wikipedia article on Pastarianism. This is very cool. Instead of denouncing us as a "cult" or fake religion... Wikipedia takes us seriouly, giving us the same benifits as every other religion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_spaghetti_monster

That's awesome!
I appreciate that they gave it a reasoned view, not the fundamentalist view.

You dare deviate from the will of Him, as written by Mosey? There will be no beer volcanoes and stripper factories for you!
Oh noes! No beer volcanoes and stripper factorialies!
I guess that you haven't read the 8 " I Really Rather You Didn'ts'. Most of them are about tolerance.

We've actually had some trouble in the past with people who come in and try to change 'parody religion' to 'religion.' In fact, I think we may have had more of those than we have of people who want to address the FSM being 'blasphemous.'

I can't speak for others on the board, but I have taken said active part, yes. It's mostly just making minor tweaks when radicals come in and change something around.

I dunno about you, but I think the words of the Prophet are indicative enough.

RAmen

But yes, it is aparody religion. That doesn't mean we can't still worship the FSM and dress, act, and drink like pirates, but we must never lose sight of the original oal of this "religion".

I, for one, believe this is as much a religion as any other.
Strictly speaking.
What is religion but a form of social organization, with ritual/what-have-yous...
And we have our forum.
We have canonical law, 'commandments', gospel, etc.
We even have schisms, for FSM's sake! (the reformed church and the toadfish monastery, for examples)

I hope you're on the recieving end of an improbability equation wherein something happens to you that's as unlikely as Rob Schneider winning a best actor Oscar on the same day Michael Jackson single handedly captures Osama Bin Laden. ~ Rainswept
