How many have a faith?

Postby scottvd1 » Tue May 15, 2007 6:18 pm

i was just wondering how many people on this board have a faith?
Thou shalt give equal worth to tragedies that occur in non-English speaking countries as to those that occur in English-speaking countries
Thou shalt not pimp my ride
Thou shalt not quote me happy
Thou shalt not shake it like a Polaroid picture
Thou shalt not wish your girlfriend was a freak like me
Thou shalt spell the word Pheonix p-h-e-o-n-i-x, not p-h-o-e-n-i-x, regardless of what the Oxford English Dictionary tells you
Thou shalt think for yourselves

I have faith; I have faith in the future, I have faith in man, faith in life. Could you be more specific?

Which faith, as everyone has said thus far?

I don't have a religious faith, a faith when it comes to theism. But I put faith in many things.

Sorry. I'm not a big fan of country music. So no Faith Hill music for me. But I'd do her.

What if she were singing whilst being done by you? :)

scott, when you post what kind of faith you are talking about, please be sure to note the exact definition of faith you espouse.

I have faith in 2-Point Jonoism:

1. Everything I sense and think is real.
2. Everything you sense and think is real too.

You can't prove either so both are articles of faith. Sometimes I have my moments of doubt, usually in one of two forms:

1. Only I exist and everything else is just a nightmare I can't wake up from.
2. I'm the only thing that does any thinking around here; you are all just lesser life-forms that have evolved to p!ss me off.

These moments tend not to last too long, for my faith is like a rock.

"I have Faith the sun won't go boom in the next twenty seconds"

I'd say that there is some evidence to back up that so it not really a faith, in my onion.

Maybe if you tightened the question to "how many of you believe in something for which there is no proof?" Where proof is "The evidence or argument that compels the mind to accept an assertion as true."
If ignorance is bliss, why are so few people happy?

Religious Faith?

Yes. Being a Catholic, you would need some.

What's the point of this poll anyway?
