Some people have their panties in a wad over the pastafarian school suspension story, and have started going around telling everyone that this is a fake religion.

Don't listen to them. This religion is as real as you or I want it to be!

Eeek...don't go dragging my name through the dirt!!

lol...

I would ask Cap and Earthrise to help me explain...

First of all, have you read the Open Letter to the Kansas School board yet? If not, go read it now.

Now, assuming you have read it...Can you see the sarcasm in Bobby's words?

He intended the Pastafarian Movement to protest the teaching of Intelligent Design in the Kansas School Board Science Classes...

I do too. However, I don't agree that one group of people can tell another group what they can and can't believe.

no they can't....but the fact remains that by actually believing in FSM, you defeat the purpose.

once again...that's the point....

the reason fsm-ism is as valid as any other religion is that religion makes no sense...

that's the point of faith....

so if we are "worshiping" FSM we are completely doing the oposite of what FSM stands for?
You're telling me that Pastafarianism is more of a group... not a religion?

well, byuworshipping Him, all we really do is get drunk and dress as pirates...(althougj, if you're a minor, like me, don't get drunk)

You can believe whatever you want...ppersonally, i believe most of the Pastafarian stuff anyway...we have lax moral standards...im all about lax moral stadards.

But FSM-ism is a protest against ID in science class...unfortunately we aren't a religion, but a movement.

believe me, if eating pasta could "save your soul" this would be much more popluar...

hehe...

Well if this is a "movement" and not a religion
then the schools have every right to rid of (to any extreme) of Pastafarianism

no, they don't

the same rule that allows you to worship whatever you want, gives you the right to protest what you want.

You pretty much seem to be handling this well alone, Z.

In any case, do you want me to back you up in some way?
