Adjust weekly holidays by country?

Ahoy yarr pirate mates!
As we all know every Friday is a holiday and every Monday is a day of deep mourning. Problem is that I live in Israel and weekend here is Friday-Saturday, with Sunday being a workday, even worse - the beginning of the week, therefore people are bound to hate Sundays more than Mondays.
Should we also adjust our official stance regarding that and say that in our case the weekly holiday is Thursday and the day of mourning is Sunday?

Fortunately one of the central tenets of Pastafarianism is loose moral standards, so if someone wants to shift a holiday, there's no penalty.
