The basis for the design of FSM?

Postby stott_s » Fri Jul 04, 2008 4:05 pm

So, my husband got me a book from HP Lovecraft, and so showed me a website for plush cthulhu toys. so now, I have to wonder if the basis for the design of FSM, when the letter to the school board was written, is from cthulhu? Sure is remarkably similar! Take a look, this particular item is the closest I have seen. I wouldn't mind if it was, I think it's all creative.

I'm not certain. We may have to ask Bobby about that.

Oh and YOUR A WIFE?! Wow I didn't see that coming, but then again I never thought about the possibility.
Our Pasta, who "Arghh" in heaven, Swallowed be thy shame. Thy Midgit come. Thy Sauce be yum, On top some grated Parmesan. Give us this day our garlic bread. And give us our cutlasses, As we swashbuckle, splice the main-brace and cuss. And lead us into temptation, But deliver us some Pizza. For thine are Meatballs, and the beer, and the strippers, for ever and ever. RAmen.

You mean to say "you're" a wife. Otherwise, you are referring to "his" "A wife", which implies that "he" is a polygamist, who grades "his" wives.

I assumed the designe was based more on something like this...

I believe it's time for mankind to set aside the crutch of religion and embrace morality born of reason and truth. Those crutches have long since proven treacherous when the ground gets slippery.

Yea, cuz Bobby's the resident genius here, or at least one of them. I figure he probably has various backgrounds, literary, Mathematical, etc

The glory of the FSM was probably more observed than designed. All similarities between the FSM and Cthulu are most likely coincidental.

Good point.
I merely said that because it caught me off guard.
