Re: Talk Like A Landlubber Day - Sept 20

My word, Detective Turtleholmes, your ability to stomach that rotten stuff never fails to astound me. No, give me a thimble of Gin and a good pipefull, and then only after a proper supper. I'll add this to your already impressive list of qualities. But to the point - in the past breath have been men...

Everythin' I need to know, I learnt from me Cap'n.

(A bit long winded - and this only be part one...my apologies fer those who're 'ard o concentration.) So there I be, nestled happily en Nell's ample bosom. We'd hid a bit o' rum, the two of us, an' as ye all know, that sort o' business often leads to amorous affairs. Shut yer noodle-holes, ye fester...

This is true. Haven't said a word about it. I think I've seen a whole...maybe...one episode, so I can't really give a good opinion.

Re: Star Trek

What part of "Science Fiction" isn't clear? Of COURSE each new issue is going to rely on some new quasi realistic threat, and be solved by some deus ex machina technological advance. That's the point. I can see how that might have come across as my argument - my fault. I'm a big fan of th...

Last post before my last beer, last smoke, and bed. And probably a little Cowboy Bebop in there to pass the time...maybe not. Maybe a cello concerto. Who knows. Random playlists FTW. :D

Re: What is the best response to this question?

I had a chemistry teacher in college that would make the question the answer, and all the answer choices the questions (usually number problems), such that you couldn't just work out the problem, but had to work out the problems for each answer choice and figure out which one matched the question. ...

Re: What is the best response to this question?

The first one, because your gut is usually right. Assuming, of course, you spent last night studying and becoming familiar with the question at hand instead of drinking and listening to punk rock at maximum volume like I have. Then you probably only chose the first one because that's where your hand...

Does the Church of FSM condone hate?

Far as I've read, hate would be in direct violation of the EIRRYD's.

Re: discriminated :*(

I think this can be resolved by a matter of explanation. The FSM, in this case, is representative of your rejection of held beliefs and support of science and reason. It is an icon (if not a god). Symbolism, even that of a "Fake" religion, is a real thing that cannot be cast aside because ...

Re: Star Trek

The whole movie had a "last gasp" feel about it. Examples: 1) Well, the Klingons are in the federation now, and the Borg are crippled.... Romulans! 2) Okay, so they're a massive military power that has, thus far, had the ability to decimate a great area of Federation space due to their sup...

Well...yes. I can agree with this. It was, it seems, edited by a devoted pothead who kept asking "Waitwaitwait...what just happened, man?"
