Re: ProvHerbs

It's been a while since the last post and the Second Council of Olive Garden would like to bring this thread back to everyone's attention in order to collect more delicious scripture for the Loose Canon. So please keep writing ProvHerbs in order to please our Noodly Master. Right now I'm just celeb...

Of course you can generate a '>' on one of those. How the heck are you gonna write if n > 5 then: disp "your mother smelt of elderberries":endif if you don't have '>'? You can program on all those calcs. Heck, on one of them you don't even have to hack it to enter assembly language programs. General...

a human needs: food shelter warmth specifically no mention of magic numbers. Oh sure, "specifically" , but what about implicity ? We got three needs, that's the magic number 3. 17 letters in total and 17 is prime. The number of letters in the second word (7) times the number of letters in the third...

LINK fix-ie

The newest "issue" of the webcomic Applegeeks http://www.applegeeks.com has a definite reference to His Noodliness. They even address Him as such. (Hey, first post!) That one is great. I was going to post it, but you beat me to it! The old applegeeks link doesn't work anymore because the date has c...

52 is over-rated. I don't know why you like 52 or 8. I like the matrix, though. Duke I like your icon. And I sort of like the Matrix too. Or at least I like matrices in general: a 11 a 12 a 13 ... a 1 n a 21 a 22 a 23 ... a 2 n a 31 a 32 a 33 ... a 3 n . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . a m 1 a m 2 a m ...

(ah, here it is. I was scanning around the (now seemingly massive) FSM forum boards looking for the most appropriate place for the link I found, and I think I found it. I am happy. ) In this serious news article describing how scientists can genetically engineer bactieria to do snazzy th...

52 in itself is a derivative of 8, because not only does it come from the FSM matrix, which includes a sideways 8, it's also 42 in base 8. To clarify for slow people like me that didn't totally get your meaning at first: 42 (base 10) = 52 (base 8 ). (Did you know base 8 is the base of sunglasses sm...

The primes thing reminded me-- I really like the number 1001 because, at first glance to the not-very trained eye like mine, it looks like it should be prime, but in fact it's the product of three consecutive primes: 7 * 11 * 13 = 1001 . (hey, there's another 77 in 7*11 :) ) And this reminds me of a...

What's the symbol for the inverse of infinity? New #'s are all good, but we need reasons... will try to math-shoot anything we come up with. Intergers are recommended. 8 works as the single-digit, but we could use something grand and mathematical as well... 2995 3003 5772 Ok. (In direct contradicti...

to 42 or not 42

:fsm_sad: The reason I'm not endorsing 42 is it's been done so much. There are so many other cool things in the HHGG. There are so many other magic numbers in numerology, Discordianism and other places. Let's try and broaden the search, 'kay? Maybe even (gasp!) making up some new ones. :fsm_cool:
